Hi folks! My name is Kristin - I’m a Pacific Northwest artist, farmer, & mom sharing art and reflections inspired by the sacred & the seasonal, place & past. I explore the agrarian heritage of the liturgical calendar and how our varied homes, landscapes, & lives reflect it.

For the past couple of years, I’ve hosted a “Liturgical Ladies (& Laddies)” group off-and-on.1 I’ve mentioned it briefly here & there, but I thought you might enjoy seeing some more in-depth peeks into our gatherings! I’ll introduce you a bit more to our group, and how we got things started, in a later post…but, for now, I thought we’d just dive right into the details & behind-the-scenes planning for our most recent gathering.

This time of year, the weather is such that meeting outside can be a cold, blustery ordeal. Gathering indoors gets pretty crowded, but that just adds to the coziness - and we doubled-down on the cozy factor for our February gathering, meeting on the first Friday of Lent to enjoy a soup bar, make traveling altars to help support our prayer life, and embellish almsgiving jars to bolster our Lenten giving.

Let’s dig in with some photos from our evening and more details in case you’d like to fold some of these elements into your own gatherings!
