Excited for the book club, as I started reading The Art of Living in Season during Advent! And the May Basket and May Pole printables are the sweetest.
I say the rosary each day in the month of May - a family tradition that the women in my mother's, Catholic family always did. Now that this is the first May with Mum gone, it is bittersweet on my own. But I do not feel alone in the liturgical space as I have you and the other readers and now Sylvie. I just read a sample of The Art of Living in Season and I am about to order it so it is here in time for May 30. Kristen, I feel God telling me to really stop this month and to make living liturgically and learning about it and how I can incorporate it into my life and home, an actual priority. So I look forward to printing out my items and seeing how the month of May can work in my hemisphere. Thank you as always. It is so encouraging and challenging.
What a beautiful tradition to pray the rosary each day through May - though I'm sure it must indeed feel so hard without your mum earthside with you. This is truly my comfort, too...that although my lost loved ones are of course irreplaceable, they've somehow opened me up to even wider perspectives on love and community. It's the mystery and miracle of the cloud of witnesses! And I count my lucky stars to have you in this cloud with me as a friend and witness. Your faith is such an inspiration to me!!
What a beautiful thing to perceive God's invitation toward more liturgical living for you in this season. I bump along imperfectly, but again, the cloud of witnesses is here...so, even when I *want* to celebrate Marymas with lots of fanfare each September, I often am low on energy and margin with the start of school, so I lean on the body of Christ to celebrate for me. Love covers it all!
We need to brainstorm on support for southern hemisphere liturgical living. This has really been on my heart, but of course I have no first-hand experience, so my way to support it would only be proxy. Still, I think we have work to do!
I was only reading Hebrews 12:1 about the cloud of witnesses yesterday! Thank you for sharing with me this journey that we are on. Leaning on each other, learning from each other and praying across the oceans. I feel that your example of simply starting, trying and being faithful in small ways of celebrating the liturgy alone, with family and community is the best template. Of course it will look different here but I know you will be there to support me in words and prayers. I will be pondering on it all a lot first.
I will be cheering you on every step of the way, dear one! You have such wisdom, and such an eye for beauty. I mostly come to the table with a lot of curiosity - and though there was a time when I felt so, so alone in all this, just going forward in vulnerability has opened up so much. You & I have a lot to dream up together!
Oh thank you for all this beauty
Absolutely my pleasure - thanks for your support and your kindness!

I'm so glad the May printables are bringing some delight! And isn't Sylvie's work so wonderful? I'm excited to talk with her!
