A quarterly box to support seasonal, liturgical living - from my desk to yours

It’s truly a privilege and a blessing to walk through the cycles of the liturgical year with you - learning, growing, wrestling, asking questions…turning this beautiful spiritual discipline over and over in our hands, looking at the ways its different facets reflect the light of Christ back (and, in turn, call us to bend our habits toward that light).

One of the most enchanting parts of this whole journey has been seeing how support ripples out: your generos

You help me continue to devote an immense amount of time and material toward research, reflection, and art-making (honestly, a dream-come-true for this artsy introvert) - and you also are, in turn, supporting so many other pilgrims who are on this journey. Your contributions allow me to be able to pay and support the many authors, historians, theologians, and artists who have joined us here at Hearthstone Fables in conversation: when I look back at all of the folks we’ve welcomed in our chats, I’m a bit blown away!

In my work here, one of my biggest goals is to plant encouragement: that you would feel inspired to graft liturgical living into your own life and landscape, to glean what you can and bring it into your actual community of people and into your actual place.

And so, thanks to your support, I’m able to continue to expand on this goal of encouragement: I’m offering a Founding Membership that includes a quarterly box of goods curated to help tangibly support you and your local community in liturgical living.

My hope is that each box can provide some touchstones that deepen your personal engagement in the rhythms of the Church year and extend that liturgical hospitality into your community. All of these elements can be sweet points of intersection for your home and your wider circle of people.

Amid record winter flooding, a handful of artisans & I worked to craft a box to inspire seasonal comfort & celebration.

FOUNDER BOX TIMELINE:

The rhythm for Founder Boxes is tied to the quarterly feasts that are so integral to our faith story, each aligned with the solstices and equinoxes. As a Founder, your annual subscription will include four total boxes.

In order to make sure that I have enough goodies to fill all Founders’ boxes, I have a margin surrounding each shipment; if you sign up after that shipment’s closing date, your shipments would begin with the next seasonal box.

• SPRING
  Shipped in March, before the Annunciation/Spring Equinox
  Sign-ups close: February 1
  

• SUMMER
  Shipped in June, before Johnsmas/Summer Solstice
  Sign-ups close: May 1
  

• AUTUMN
  Shipped in September, before the Conception of John the Baptist/Autumn Equinox
  Sign-ups close: August 1
  

• WINTER
  Shipped in December, before Christmas/Winter Solstice

FOUNDER BOX DETAILS:

Each seasonal box is filled with a variety of goods - small antiques, locally-made items, books, and more. Some of the pieces are ‘overtly’ liturgical, while others are more widely seasonal yet apply so beautifully to liturgical living. All of them are curated to inspire us to align our faith journey with our locale and our lives - a seasonal story told through the agrarian heritage in the Church calendar and applied broadly to so many people and places.

I also include the “Hearthstone Post” newsletter in each box, with a note about its theme and more details on each item…my pen pal dreams are coming true!
