Riverside dinner and midsummer cushions
For the past few years, I’ve hosted a Liturgical Life group. We’re a diverse gathering - of all ages, from a variety of denominations, learning alongside each other and working to graft the traditions of the liturgical calendar into our own varied circumstances.
Because of the legendary accounts of St. Mary Magdalene’s perilous voyage across the sea, I wanted our July gathering in honor of her to be near water. Between a magically-rainy summer day on the beach and some whimsical midsummer cushions for the Magdalene, it was such a memorable gathering.
